April, 2012 2012 is getting off to a good start. TMG has taken some big strides in formalizing its services directed at two significant business problems, in two industries.
In oil and gas, the problem of knowledge loss is being addressed with new research, consulting services, and tools for designing and implementing more effective knowledge retention solutions.
In healthcare, the drive toward consumer-focused services is being supported with consulting and instructional services for providers, along with our continued assessments and
ideas for global solutions for lowering costs while preserving quality and access. We're also continuing to manage content development and editing projects. TMG is accepting
new consulting projects in all of these areas, while continuing to write and distribute free commentaries and white papers on relevant business topics, and speaking whenever possible
to groups interested in our ideas and solutions. Finally, the TMG consulting network of business and writing experts continues to grow which means TMG's business support capabilties
continue to expand -- ultimately allowing us to provide more value to our clients.
March, 2011 The new TMG structure is in place and we are ready for business in 2011. We've continued to update our business lines and in particular we have broadened
our content development and instructional design capabilities. The plan for 2011 includes the introduction of new tools and methods for capturing and distributing
organizational knowledge which is a multidisciplinary solution for preserving intellectual capital. Similarly, through an initiative called Love Our Seniors, we hope
to help individuals capture their life stories as part of an overall effort
to enhance quality of life. Finally, we will be introducing a stand-alone site for visual content of all types. Mr. Riddell continues his graduate studies for the
majority of 2011 so it's going to be a very busy and rewarding year.
January, 2010 TMG expands its commitment to consumer support services and writing and biography services. A complete web site rewrite
is near completion including the introduction of a brand new look, new services, and new functionality. A companion site will also be introduced
enabling online documentation services and tools for creatively combining text and images. Efforts continue to expand our consulting network and our network
of qualified writers and editors.
February, 2009 TMG introduces the Legislative and Policy Watch page as part of our effort to monitor and interpret legislative and policy developments
at the state and federal levels which impact consumers and providers. For the last few years we have endeavored to act in a fiduciary role for our users
and clients by distilling complicated developments down to essential, "need to know", actionable information. When appropriate we have supplied legislators
and key policymakers with reports and position statements. See the main menu on the home page. January, 2009 TMG decides on a new corporate structure with the plan of initiating consumer services during the first quarter of 2009.
December, 2008 TMG introduces the TMG Consumer Advocate Network - a network of professionals and consumers who are interested in supporting
healthcare consumer decision making and improve decision alignment with providers. New services are planned to help consumers navigate
an increasingly complex and expensive U.S. Healthcare System. See the home page for more details. October, 2007 TMG initiated the process of changing its mission to address the education and decision support needs of healthcare consumers. We also formalized
our ongoing research into healthcare decision support tools by creating the TMG Education and Research Network(TERN). January, 2007 TMG posted a completely updated website with new services and information. Network members will have access to more information and
new networking tools. This site update substantially expands services and value provided to clients and members and will be supplemented with more online tools
during 2007 as they are developed. November, 2006 TMG began a major website update in order to enhance the value of our site to clients and network members. The update is planned for release
in January, 2007. July, 2006 The company started work on a new data management application for patients with chronic conditions. The application is planned for introduction
in 2007. March, 2006 The company managed the design and startup of a new DME center which opened in March in Houston. The center represents a new marketing approach
combining orthopedic products and services with traditional DME products. October - November, 2005 2006 edition of the Coding and Coverage Guide for Oncology Practice-Based Infusion Centers will be produced
for the third year in a row and will be available as part of the TMG Oncology Update service by late November/early December. July - September, 2005 The company takes steps to expand its consulting network by another 25 consultants. Five new alternate site healthcare
experts were added in July and August toward meeting this goal for 2005. April, 2005 The company enters into a multi-year agreement with a national HME provider to support competitive
bidding for Medicare services in selected markets for the 2007 to 2010 timeframe. A new TMG article on the technology future of alternate site healthcare appeared in the April, 2005
edition of HomeCare magazine. Go to www.homecaremag.com for more information. January - April, 2005 The company website undergoes a revision that includes moving The TMG Report to a Members section
with other members-only resources. The addition of dedicated pages for each type of alternate site provider
and new weblogs for providers and TMG to share information and ideas. February, 2005 The company initiates a new phase of a long term project to introduce new ancillary service capabilities
for one of the nation's largest group physician practices. January, 2005 The Marrell Group releases the new 2005 Coding and Coverage Guide for practice-based oncology
infusion centers. For the second year in a row, TMG has produced an overview of the coding changes
implemented by CMS along with recommendations that can be used by oncology practices to update their
charge capture methods and improve reimbursement. December, 2004 The Marrell Group introduces Rapid Response, a new web-based data collection service. Rapid Response
was developed in cooperation with Integral Health Decisions in Santa Barbara, CA. The new service is being
marketed to pharma sales organizations as a new way to collect targeted market data after an
educational program or to collect specific utilization data from pharmacies and patients.
